SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES:

PURPOSE

To assist deserving high school graduates to further their education at institutions of higher learning.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Applicant must be a current member of the Q.A.C.H.S. Alumni Association, a direct descendant, or a legally adopted descendant of a member of the Q.A.C.H.S. Alumni Association in a good standing.

• Be officially accepted into an accredited program or certificate program at a US college or university.

• Must carry a minimum of 3 credits per semester.

• Demonstrate clear career plans.

• Submit a complete scholarship application package.

SELECTION

Selection will be made by the Q.A.C.H.S. Alumni Association scholarship committee with written notice prior to the award.  Official award to the recipient(s) will be announced in May.  The scholarship is NOT renewable.  Previous applicants not receiving this scholarship award my reapply.

METHOD OF AWARD

The recipient(s) will be required to notify the Alumni Association of his/ her final school choice and due date for payment.  The money will be sent directly to the college upon verification of the student's enrollment and appropriate billing from the college.

SUBMISSION

Applications my be obtained from the guidance offices of Queen Anne's County High School or Kent Island High School.  Applications may also be printed/ downloaded from the Q.A.C.H.S. Alumni Association website!
